Re-opening of View point kiosk at Venn's Town/Mission Lodge
The whiff of mildly cold breeze overlapped by the foggy capped mountain looking over Venn Town, Sans souci, set the perfect scene this afternoon for the reopening of the Viewpoint Kiosk. The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr Wavel Ramkalawan, gave a remarkable speech before a receptive audience - who came in a great number- as he underscored the unswerving commitment of his administration to preserve the Seychellois heritage. In his speech, he also thanked all those who have played a pivotal role to make such a restoration possible under just twenty three days. The ceremony took place in the presence of the Cabinet of Ministers, other dignitaries, some members of the parliament and the general public. The event also showcased the traditional dance of 'Moutya' by local dancers arrayed in colorful attires that symbolically well-represented the unity and resilience felt this afternoon by the crowd that showed up
